Shivapuri Nagarkot Trek package allows trekking around the Kathmandu valley rim. This is naturally filled with a lot of natural enjoyment and verities of delicious foods. This trekking route consists of the best short trek through the trail around the hills of Kathmandu Valley. This trek starts from Budhanilkhantha. It is a holy place for Hindu people with the shrine of Lord Vishnu sleeping on the snake. Budhnilkantha is situated in the northern part of Kathmandu Valley. As the trek starts, you will head towards the Shivapuri village in the northeast of the Kathmandu valley. Before reaching there, we pass through the Shivapuri National Park, where we encounter diverse vegetation. Note that it lies in the transition zone between subtropical and temperate climates. As we move forward, we rest at Kakani for a while. This gives us a precious chance to view the panoramic mountain of Manaslu to Xisa Pangma, including Ganesh Himal and Langtang. As we walk through the trails, we witness Kathmandu valley and diverse green forests on the other.
As soon as you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport, the representatives of Mount Glory Adventures will be there to pick you up. They will then drive you to your hotel, and on the way, they will provide you with a summary of our services. As soon as you arrive at your hotel destination, our representatives will guide you to your room, where you will rest briefly.
Once you are done resting, we will then hold a small meeting where your trekking guides will provide you with a summary of the proceeding journey. You will also learn about some of the best trekking destinations in Nepal, including Annapurna Base Camp Trek and Everest Base camp trek from them. If you are interested in such treks, we will be happy to provide you with further services.
After the briefing session, you will be free to do anything you please.
Our second day tour is all about taking in the sights around the Kathmandu valley and visiting some of the best locations around the brick city streets of Katmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur. This Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing tour will include visiting some of the best UNESCO world heritage sites, such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, Lalitpur Durbar Square, and Bhaktapur durbar square. Along with this, you will also visit some of the most religious sites for Hindus, Pashupatinath. This will be followed by visiting the Buddhist UNESCO world heritage sites, i.e., Swoyambhunath and Bauddhanath.
Naturally, you will be trying out a ton of local cuisines and learning a lot about local culture.
On the third day, our trek finally begins. But before we start our trek, we will first take a short drive towards Sundarijal. Once we reach Sundarijal, our trek into Shuvapuri National Park finally begins.
The trek will last roughly five to six hours, during which you will need to walk through oak forests, rhododendron gardens, and pine forests as we make our way towards Borlang Bhanjyang. After ascending all the way here, we then descend to Chisapani on the northern border.
We wake up to birds chirping and start our journey with a light breakfast. The first destination for this day is the village of jhule. On the way to Jhule, we will naturally be surrounded by lush jungle and the sounds of nature. However, it is always a good idea to stay vigilant as encountering wild boars and deers is not uncommon on the trail. If our luck is bad, we may even come across wild jackals.
While they will most likely run away from us, it is always a good idea to stay vigilant. This is why you should always listen to your Chisapani to Nagarkot trekking guides. The journey will continue through the trail from Kattike bhanjyang to Nagarkot. On this trekking journey, we will witness the Majestic peaks of Manaslu and the entire Himalayan range overlooking us.
On the last day of our journey, we walk through Tamang and Newari villages on the northern side of the Shivapuri National park as we walk towards Changinarayan, an ancient village with a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
After the visit to Nagarkot and Changunarayan, the journey will take us back to Kathmandu Valley, where we will spend a bit more time exploring before departing to the hotel.
This is the day of final departure for Shivapuri Nagarkot Trekking. On the final day of this short trek, you will pack your belongings in the morning and have some quick refreshments. After this, our representatives will pick you up at your hotel and drop you back at the Airport.
